Description
What it is
A pair of hot-forged locking carabiners rated 22 kN on the major axis, 7 kN minor, 7 kN gate open. Screw-lock rather than auto-lock, because a screw gate can be inspected at a glance and cleaned in the field.
Why screw-lock
Auto-locking gates have more moving parts and jam when they get gritty. A screw gate you can strip, rinse and re-grease on a ledge. For general anchor and belay use that trade is worth making.
Inspection
Every unit is proof-loaded and stamped with its batch. The batch number maps to a test record we will send you on request.
Honest limits
Life-safety hardware is not repairable. Anything dropped from height, visibly gouged, or past ten years from manufacture should be retired — and we will not sell you a replacement gate to keep an old one going.
